Welcome to the home of the very worst of the meretricious poetasters!

POETRY

Here is where I'm supposed to put a big paragraph that basically tells you my philosophy on poetry, where I come from, where I'm going, and throw in a lot of et als, ibids, and other such citation nonesuch that would tire both you and me. I already tried writing that three times and ended up sounding stupid, so I deleted it. That process perhaps says more of prose than poetry, but bottom line...I write short poetry that means a lot to me, regardless of what it means to you, the reader. It won't win me any awards, and it probably won't gain anything more than a devoted, cultish readership at best, but there, there it is. I like epigrams. I like making someone say, "That isn't a poem." when it really is, because that's just fun. I spend the most effort and time on poetry, but I hardly ever revise save for punctuation, and I go for feeling, not mechanics. I think mechanics are a joke, the biggest joke in the poetry world. You get the concepts, you corrupt and insult and destroy them utterly, and then they start coming to you naturally...it's a kind of form’s revenge. Or at least, that's the way it is with me.
